Introducing Prospero, a super dear but some what shy kitty man. Prospero is an approximately three year old male who has been neutered, is up to date on his vaccinations and has tested negative for both feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus. I spotted Prospero huddled in front of a pet store late one cold evening. Hoping he would not move on before I could return with a humane trap, I returned to my residence, grabbed a trap and went back to the pet store. Much to my surprise Prospero was still hunkered down, pressed closely to the door. Within minutes of my baiting the trap and placing it on the sidewalk in front of the store, Prospero sniffed out the food and walked in the trap. Initially beset with ear mites and fleas and underweight, this once skinny and bedraggled boy has been vetted and has been packing on the pounds. He quickly mastered indoor kittying with the guidance of my other rescue kitties. Spro made kitty buddies and learned to enjoy pets and snuggles from humans. He remains a shy, but loving boy who will hang back in the crowd of kitties patiently waiting his turn for love. He has truly blossomed of late after moving to an upstairs room in my residence. He is a food monger most likely the result of having to scavenge for food when he was outdoors. Spro is always one of the first kitties in line for feeding time and will head butt me and twirl in circles around me as I sit in the floor doling out the canned food on the feeding plates. Just a gem of a kitty man. If you are interested in becoming this great guy's mom and/or dad, please feel free to contact me. I do, when possible, like to receive a vet reference for potential adopters.
