About Happy

Happy is a 4.5 year old border terrier mix who recently came to the rescue when his previous family was no longer able to care for him. Happy is now looking for a forever best friend to spend ALL his time with! Happy is a great boy who definitely lives up to his name, but needs a very special home! Happy is happiest when people are near, and he is not happy at all when his people are gone. Happy has severe separation anxiety and will do anything it takes to get to his people. Happy will need at least a 6 foot brick wall in his yard as he is a jumper, and will need a fence he can not dig under or escape through holes in. Happy can break out of kennels, and has ever learned to open the lever style door handles to open a door and follow his person down the hall. Happy also needs a family where someone is usually home, or Happy can go with them when they aren't. Happy needs to be home alone as little as possible. Happy is a great mannered boy who walks well on a leash. Happy weighs in at 52 pounds full grown. Happy has the most handsome smile that will melt your heart. Happy loves to play and is good with most other dogs, but will need to meet any dogs in the home before going home. He is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, licensed and vet checked. His adoption fee is $160. His adoption includes a free vet visit and 30 days of free pet insurance. To meet him come to our shelter location 1102 W Hatcher Rd open Tuesday to Sunday 11-6. Call for location on the weekends as we have off site adoption events some of our dogs attend.
