About Drake

Drake is a born snuggler who enjoys cuddling during the cooler nights and swimming all day in the warmer months. He loves playing with and squeaking toys, but don't expect him to bring them back. We have had him since he was 4 months old and he has spent all of that time with his older brother, an older black lab. He does not beg for food, but also doesn't mind the occasional special treat. We are looking to re-home his as he has not done well with children in the past and we are expecting our first in March 2018. He is 8 years old and generally healthy, but also has canine lupus which can cause dry, crusty patches around his eyes, mouth, and nose, but is easily treatable. He is ok with other dogs if introduced slowly, but would be best if the neighboring yards were dog free. The perfect family would be adults with no children under 12+ who live separated from any neighbors. He also has severe anxiety with loud noise and would need mild sedations during fireworks or storms. Please feel free to email or call to set up a meeting.
