About Sonia

Adoption Fee: $295
Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Sonia!! Lab/Terrier Mix (Scruffy!!) 50-60 lbs, 1.5 yrs old Sonia is a uniquely beautiful 1.5 years old Terrier mix. She looks like a mix of some sort of short and stocky dog with some sort of scruffy terrier dog. In certain photos, she even looks like she could be part mountain lion!! Regardless of her mix, she is just the sweetest thing you can imagine!! Sonia spent a lot of her young life living in a high kill shelter in Tennessee. She was diagnosed with Heartworm and has now been through the treatment. Even though she has met all of these struggles in her life, she has really embraced living in a home with a family and other dogs. Sonia just love cuddles!! She has become a bit of a bed hog (is that really a bad thing though after living on a cold shelter floor???). She thoroughly enjoys snuggling under a blanket and taking a snooze. In her foster home, Sonia is learning new tricks. She is great on the leash and loves walks and treats. She will make a wonderful family companion!! Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
