About Violet

Violet is a beautiful 2 year old Shar Pei who will make a great companion! This poor girl has lived outside for the past year and a half of her life. With time and patience, she will learn to trust humans in a way she has never been able to before. In the past two weeks of being in foster care, she has gone from a scared girl who was essentially untouchable to allowing her foster mom to pick her up without a fight, handle her ears, and give her lots of belly rubs. Violet will need a home that will be patient with her and allow her time to warm up. Once you have gained her trust, you will have a friend for life. Violet is familiar with her kennel and seems to love sleeping in it at night. She is great on her leash and doesn't pull or tug! Her absolute favorite thing to do is curl up in a blanket on the floor and sleep for hours. Violet will do best in a home with submissive dogs or no dogs at all, and without small children. She is not aggressive with children, but they make her very nervous. Violet is a lovely soul who is looking forward to starting a new life, she just needs you to help her get there. Violet is spayed, microchipped and up to date with vaccines.
