About Hank

Hank is an adorable, 21 lb Corgi/Terrier cross, and about 3 years old. He is a sweet little guy who's mellow and mild mannered inside with lots of energy and spunk outside and he absolutely loves to run! He likes snuggles on the couch, likes to play, and will make a great companion for the right person who can provide him lots of exercise/room to run and more recall training. He is great with young kids, cats, and other dogs eventually (but may be nervous with warning nips and anxious spinning in initial greeting). He would do best with mature or calm dogs to show him how to be in the dog world or as an only dog for training purposes. He is most comfortable with women but will warm up to men once he trusts them. He has nipped at men in the past, so he should be introduced slowly to male visitors. He has done well with basic manners training, but needs lots of work on recall. He is looking for a confident and calm pack leader to teach him he doesn't need to be so nervous. He would do best in an energetic home where long, leashed walks are a regular occurrence or with remote, off-leash walks where he won't encounter other hikers/dogs. He needs a very well fenced yard, away from busy streets and would love to have acreage to run. He is an escape artist so secure fencing is very important! Hank is currently with his current owner until the correct home comes along for him
