Boxer / Lab
Age: Young Puppy

Meet Seabrook Boxer mix Currently 9 weeks old Currently 15 lbs Seabrook is a shy, affectionate, and playful girl. Seabrook takes a few moments to warm up, especially when she is approached. However, once you meet her approval, she will happily come to you and let you scoop her up for a cuddle or two. She has such a pretty face that draws people in, but it is her loving personality that keeps their adoration. She is independent and will keep herself busy by playing with toys or other dogs. Speaking of other dogs, she gets along with all dogs and can hold her own even with the big ones. She enjoys exploring the house, while following you around, and a good romp in the snow. Seabrook even meets the stamp of approval with kids. She has been squished and carted around by the moodiest of toddlers. When Seabrook is ready for a nap, she will come find you, patiently sit by your feet and look up at you. This her signal that she wants to engage with you and then settle into your lap for some long term snuggling and a snooze. She will gladly give you kisses while you rub the sides of her face and neck. She is crate trained and doesn't mind going in there when her family needs to leave the house. She is content in her crate as long as she has a blanket and a chew toy of some sort to help her pass the time. Seabrook has spent the night in her crate, but really prefers sleeping with someone. She is extremely cuddly at night and will follow you up the stairs to bed. Seabrook is working on her manners. She knows how to come to you when you say her name, sit (except when she is super excited) and is learning the word 'no'. She is mostly house trained and knows to go to the door, but needs to go out frequently during the day because she is young. Seabrook is a happy puppy looking for that special family that will earn her affection furever. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
