Meet Sharpie Boxer mix Currently9 weeks Currently 13 lbs Sharpie is an energetic, rambunctious, and affectionate girl. She can get a little feisty especially during play time. Sharpie truly loves to romp and chew on toys. When she plays with other dogs, she doesn't back down and loves to wrestle. She's even been known to pounce and use sneak attacks. Sharpie is out going and hasn't met a dog or person that doesn't meet her approval. She eagerly greets people and will gladly give you kisses when you scoop her up. She has been squished and hugged by people of all ages, including little toddlers, and takes it all in stride. Once Sharpie is worn out, she will come cuddle with you. In fact, she will find you and follow you around until you sit down and pull her into your arms. She relishes a good long snuggle on the couch with someone and will happily stay there for hours. Sharpie is crate trained and will contentedly sleep in there, be it for a day time nap, or the whole night. She actually falls asleep very quickly in the crate or on her pet bed. However, because she enjoys being around people, she will be delighted to sleep curled up on your bed for the night. Sharpieis mostly house trained and knows to go to the door. She can make it through the night with out accidents, but needs to be let out frequently during the day due to her age. She is working on her manners and learning how to sit, come, and the word 'no'. However, she jumps alot, especially, when she is super excited. Sharpie is looking for an active family. She is ready to be part of your adventures! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
