About Shadow

We are trying to find a good home for Shadow, a female, spayed, black lab. Someone dumped her on our road last July. The vet said that she appeared to be about 7-9 months old at that time (so we're guessing she's about a year old now and about 45 pounds). The vet said she appears to be pure lab (not mixed with any other breed). We live on 30 acres and thought she would be a perfect addition to the family, but she is killing our chickens. She's very playful, but a little bit too much for our two small older dogs. She isn't aggressive or mean. She's like a 2-year old child who just wants to play, play, play. She's house trained, we have her up-to-date on all of her shots, we also had her spayed. We want to find her a healthy, happy home, and a new owner who doesn't have chickens (unless they are kept in a pen). She doesn't act like she's killing the chickens to eat them, it's more like she's playing with them. And our chickens have been raised not to be afraid of our small dogs.
