Tess Pointer/Beagle Mix Female Estimated DOB 4/25/2016 Approx. Weight: 35 lbs Adoption Fee: $175 Sweet Tess first arrived to the shelter about a year ago. She was adopted briefly this past January, but as a young dog the older couple who adopted her quickly realized she needed more exercise than their apartment allowed for without being able to take Tess on nice long walks due to their health, so she was returned in March (just before her 1st birthday). Tess LOVES to play with other dogs, so a canine companion in forever home would be a plus. She gets along well with everyone, but can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, so ask to see her in the yards and be prepared with a couple treats to convince her you offer no tricks. :) So far, Tess seems uninterested in cats, so she could probably learn to live with felines with slow introductions and supervision. Tess has some energy, but I wouldn't classify her as a 'high energy dog' more like 'medium energy' with lots of room for naps at your feet between bouts of playtime outside or walks around the neighborhood. Tess is about 1.5 years old now and full grown at around 35 pounds which makes her a great medium size. We believe she is some kind of pointer mix maybe, or even a little beagle/pointer mix maybe? Your guess is a good as ours. She's mostly white with brown spots and seriously fierce smoky eye shadow.
