About Will & Grace-PENDING!

Yorkie / Poodle
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

The story of Will and Grace is becoming all too common in today's world. They were found on the streets subjected to all the hazards that homeless dogs face. A good samaritan, wanting to protect them, turned these beautiful dogs into the shelter..not knowing that their local humane society was an extremely high-kill facility. Since there are virtually no adoptions in this small, very poor agricultural community, euthanasia comes quickly due to lack of space. Farfel's Rescue was contacted about the sweetness of this bonded pair, and we welcomed them into our rescue. Will is a beautiful (These photos don't come close to doing either of these these amazing guys justice) Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle mix weighing 16 lbs and just about 2 years old. Grace is the same breed mix weighing 13 lbs and 9 - 12 months old. Both these pups were recognized during their processing at the shelter for their sweet personalities and very loving behavior. Our New Mexico rescuer is very compassionate and works tirelessly to save the lives of dogs that pass difficult temperament testing. She became an advocate for Will and Grace's rescue and made the arrangements for their ultimate transport to Colorado and a forever home where they would be truly loved and nurtured. Goodbyes and good wishes were said..and Will and Grace were on their way to be vetted and then on to a foster home to receive love, lots of belly rubs and the beginning of training on house skills and on-leash walking. These gorgeous Yorkie/Poodle mixes started their socialization immediately as they were introduced to their foster family of two kids 17 and 19, a smaller dog and two dog-crazy parents.. and they did great! The fact that was immediately obvious is that Will and Grace are a bonded pair! Their relationship is very soothing to them when they're together. Their foster provided the following information...Both these dogs are sweet and very friendly. Will tends to follow Grace and take his cues from her reactions (he's the more submissive of the two). Grace is an absolute cuddle-bug! She loves to play and have so much fun..and then climbs into a welcoming lap for belly rubs and a snooze. Will hangs back momentarily, and then following Grace's cue, up he goes as well for a hug and kind words. Farfel's Rescue made the immediate decision that as a bonded pair, we need to honor the power of Will and Grace's relationship. We're searching for a very loving and gentle family...it seems that retirees or a dog-crazy family that is home a great deal would be perfect for these two. If given the time and opportunity, Will and Grace will be an extremely bonded and devoted duo that will be a gift to their family. Will and Grace will be overjoyed with long walks with their favorite people. A beautiful Colorado trail will speak to their love of the outdoors and give them the exercise and mental stimulation that every dog requires for long-term happiness. Since Will and Grace only weigh 16 and 13 lbs, they're so portable that you can scoop them up into the car for a fun adventure or they'd fit under a plane seat for a visit to a dog-loving friend or relative. You can always count on these two to have sweet behavior! Once Will and Grace find their forever family, they will have their dreams come true. We feel that there was most likely a point in their lives when love was plentiful and belly rubs were the order of the day....we want that life for these beautiful dogs again. We feel that any family who is searching for lap dogs that will return their love (once comfortable) a million times over will fall in love with our awesome twosome. Will and Grace are truly a case of two is easier than one. They're always ready to cuddle with their people..but when life calls for their humans...Will and Grace are very capable of keeping each other busy and happy. These gorgeous YorkiePoos appear to be non-shedding pups..and considered to be hypoallergenic (although it's difficult to tell with certainty until their sad shelter coats grow out). They will therefore require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep their coats cottony-soft, healthy and matt-free. Will and Grace will be arriving on transport in Denver in mid-January (we'll update exact date as soon as it's finalized). If interested in this snuggly and sweet pair, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to [email protected] or fax to 303-443- 7730. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Will and Grace, please be sure to fill out our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving pair. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit an adoption application. Thanks so much for choosing rescue.
