About Emma

FOSTER LOCATION: Kuna, ID Emma is an 8 year old pure bred Golden Retriever who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue a few months ago. During her time with us Emma has learned what it means to live in a house rather than being left outside alone all the time. She has spent some time with the vet getting her thyroid imbalance under control and pretty much proving to everyone that a not so great past life is going to get her down. Emma spent some time with her foster mom deciding on exactly what she wanted you to know: I love to snuggle!! And enjoy resting my head on my human's lap and just being close to them. I have learned some basic commands (sit and laydown) while in my foster home. I do well in a crate at night or while my foster family is gone, although I'd much rather snuggle with someone in bed! I get along and play well with other dogs. I enjoy running around in the backyard and playing with my foster family. I have a puppy playfulness and love to play and wrestle with other dogs, though sometimes I only want to snuggle with my four legged friends. I currently reside with a cat and enjoy living with them - so I would do well in a household that also has cats. I have been around kids and do very well with them - I do not jump up on the little ones. The best kind of family for me is a family who that has another dog, enjoys spending time with me, is willing to work with me on basic training, give me tons of snuggles, and the much-needed attention and love that I crave - and that my foster mom says I deserve. Emma will need a daily medication for her thyroid and will need a yearly check up to make sure her medication is doing its job.
