IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE WAIT UNTIL SUNDAY, Jan 21, TO REACH OUT. RECEIVED OVER A DOZEN RESPONSES ALREADY, AND HE WILL MEET HIS POTENTIAL NEW FAMILY THIS WEEKEND. Thx! Bentley is a beautiful, very well behaved boy, but he is also timid and shy. He was rescued 3 years ago from a breeder, after being badly neglected since birth. He has gradually warmed up to women, is very affectionate when relaxed, but he is still fearful of men. He loves children, but he is so excited by them that he jumps and nips at their clothing. Bentley loves other pets of all kinds and is happy to concede control to any alpha. He does bark at strangers and strange vehicles; i.e., he is a good watch dog, but don't expect him to protect you! Bentley is happy indoors, loves cuddling on the couch, but feels threatened when there's too much activity (and plastic bags ???). Bentley is house trained, crate trained, and travels well. He is athletic, loves the outdoors and patrolling his fenced-in yard. He is healthy, neutered, and has had consistent vet care. He can be bothered by seasonal allergies. Cockapoos are nearly hypoallergenic. Bentley needs regular grooming to keep from matting. Monthly baths and conditioning are recommended. My circumstances have changed. I need to stay with and help my elderly parents. They do not have a fenced-in yard, and Bentley would be fearful of my father and all the health-care workers that come twice daily. He needs a new home, and I hope it can be yours!
