About Jake

Adoption Fee: $100
Boston Terrier / Bulldog
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Jake was pulled from Animal Control in May 2017 after being confined there for almost 2 months. He was turned in with a companion dog after the owner unexpectedly was out of their lives. His fluffy friend was adopted but no one wanted Jake. He was in danger of euthanasia so we brought him to our shelter where he will be safe until the right home is found. (Jake was pulled on the same day as Jackson, a bigger boy who also sports bi-colored eyes) Jake is a gentle boy who craves love and cuddles and would happily creep into a lap and stay if allowed. He is a medium sized boy with an amber eye and an ice blue eye. Jake is of medium size and is believed to be a Boston Terrier with big ears that sometimes point up but can also go east and west. Jake was an indoor dog and was housebroken before he began the many months of shelter confinement. His adoption fee is $100. Application online is at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application/ . Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home appropriate for their needs and that will keep them safe. Each is loved and nurtured by our staff and volunteers during their stay with us and each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own furry family members. The approval process can take from 1 to 3 days. That process is initiated with the online (or in office) submission of the application form. Adoption policies, application procedures and the online application forms are at the shelter website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. All approved adopters must accompany their new family member on the journey home. We do not ship nor transport. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4.
