About Ruby

Ruby is a seven year old, spayed female long-haired dachshund. She loves to have her belly rubbed and is house and crate trained. Ruby is considered special needs as she is blind and has diabetes insipidus (requires insulin injections daily but no testing needed). Even though she does not see, Ruby manages to explore the house and yard with ease. She is great with other dogs and loves all people, including kids. Ruby's medication is very inexpensive, and managing her diabetes is merely a matter of twice daily injections and a low-calorie diet to help her continue to lose weight. She would love to have a family to call her own and a canine companion to keep her company as well!
