About WATSON

AKC Black Male Standard Poodle Puppy. DOB: 01/11/18** Watson is a very big standard Poodle. He has a high energy level. Watson is a Healthy, Goofy, BIG Beautiful Male, with a longer tail & very curly Poodle hair! PLEASE-READ THE REQUIRMENTS. He is very loving, sweet, Smart,& loves to play but he can also be head strong if he feels he is being ignored. Watson is a lover and is a big happy, sweet, baby * I do not advice having kids younger than 10* around a big, active, rough playing big puppy Or SMALL Older dogs. He would not intently hurt them but he is so big and so rough, he would. PLEASE READ HIS PROFILE BEFORE E-MAILING ME. THERE IS A FEE. HE NEEDS SOMEONE WHO CAN BE ACTIVE WITH HIM. ****.SOMEONE MUST BE HOME WITH THE RESCUE & THEY CAN'T BE LEFT ALONE. Watson would do better with at least one other standard poodle. He was a bit wild at first, having lived in a crate all his life, & no one spending time with him. He has learned to walk on a leash, take long drives, play with toys, and plays well with the other Big & Young standard poodle Puppies 'rescues'. I feel he would do well in a home with other standard poodles and not being an only dog. Watson has lots of land here to run on, woods to explore, new things to learn, places to go, and he gets a lot of exercise & loves being outside ( supervised). Otherwise, there is just too much he could get in trouble 'exploring'. He has a laid back personality for a puppy and will do better as he gets older. Watson has been fairly easy to train but needs someone with standard poodle experience who will continue his training. AT his November 2018 check up, he weighed 67:02 pounds. *** REQUEST applications from me and I do not accept applications from any other group.** THERE IS A FEE.*** To adopt:1- you must have a fenced yard. 2- Be home with him, There are 2 applications to fill out. YOU MUST request those applications from me by e-mail READ the things first, please. Don't skip questions. Since he's a big dog, he will not need to be altered until he is at least 18 months old so there is a contract to sign for that also. I do check all references, vets, groomers, & 2 home checks. ( before & after) All rescues must be met at the rescue site by the rescue, other rescues, & the pack. They must approve of you. Watson is very vocal & when he's happy, gives a yodel. He will alert if anyone comes in the drive or he hears a knock. Watson is very friendly. He was somewhat a mess when he first got here. After he was groomed, he turned out to be a stunning, clear black standard. Once he was on a high quality puppy food, his hair shined and got thicker. He has more than doubled his weight. He knows a lot of words, loves to just run free, and minds when I tell him NO. He loves to chase squirrels, rabbits, and sniff new smells. He is learning things now he should have learned when he was a younger puppy & he loves treats. He gets a look on his face that shows what a happy, goofy, boy he is and sometimes looks like he is so surprised to have toys, friends, all the food he wants, water, play time, and treats. He loves to be with humans. Watson needs mind stimulation since he is so smart, you do not want him to get bored and find things to do. If you can not devote the time to bond, let him be a family member, afford to give him the care he needs, vet care, grooming, etc. then please don't ask for an application. If you want a wonderful companion who will love you with all his heart, hog the bed, want to be by your side or playing with other dogs, then by all means, offer your heart. He loves baths, being groomed, minds 'fairly' well, loves treats, loves attention, thinks he's a keeper /hunter of the land, & all he wants is to be a valued family member. He would love to have a big sister or brother to learn from and play with. He tries so hard to please his human and just needs someone to hug him, brighten his day, and all is right WITH HIS WORLD. Watson has been so good to be so mistreated and I do want the BEST home out there that is suited to his personality . Each standard poodle has a different personality. Standards can drink up to 72 ounces of water a day, depending on play and weather. Watson sleeps all night. Standards are so unique, they adapt their spirit to please you. Watson can be so humble considering his past, I am honored to have seen him go from hugging the ground to running with his tail held high with the confidence to know he is safe, there will always be food, treats, water, toys, love, grooming time, play time & so much more.
