Cy is truly a fantastic dog. I ended up with him about a year after my son bought him. (I probably would not have chosen a JR and he didn't listen to his Momma about JR's. :/ ) He just needs a person home with him all of the time and some more training. There are SO many goods about Cy that I have been putting off rehoming him because I love him. It's unfair to him, as being home alone makes him super anxious...which is when we have potty problems. If I am home all day, he's no problem at all. The aggressive part is, from what I have learned, more of a protective issue. He is not aggressive against food or items, just when some people come over. I've tried desperately to work on this and he has improved. He used to be crate trained but when we moved, he started harming himself in it. He loves to sit on laps and sleep under the blankets. LOVES to play catch and learned how to go over an agility jump within 5 minutes. He's a SMART dog, I simply can not give him ALL of my time. Someone who has more training skills, patience or possibly someone who is home all of the time would be the perfect fit. We have another dog and he get's along with her as well as our cat. On walks, he doesn't go after other dogs...but I've also never had a play group with him, as I get nervous about it. I do have videos of him playing and jumping, I will email if you are interested. Re-homing a dog is like an epic fail to me, but I know what will be better for Cyrus, I am looking for a home with someone who has more time to dedicate to Cyrus, as he deserves it. Thank you.
