****Diamond is a deserving dog that is eligible for an extended trial adoption. We know how special she is and want to give adopters the chance to get to know this wonderful dog that we have come to know and love!**** Hi, I'm Diamond! I'm a super laid back 5 year old, 40lb, female lab mix, with four white paws and a cute white tip on my tail. Happiest at home, I'm a true cuddle bug and homebody. I'm a little shy at first but once I warm up to you I'm a a friendly, tail wagging companion as you can see (! Now that I'm settled into my foster home I love playing with my furry foster siblings. You can see us playing in the snow (! I also enjoy quiet time and chewing on a bully stick or antler. I love to eat and I'm very food motivated which is great for training. I am completely crate trained and do not make a peep while in there. When I arrived I was not house trained but I am working on that and getting better every day. I'm not too crazy about kids and enjoy my own space so I'd do best in a quiet house with adults. OPH partnered with Olde Town Pet Resort and San Antonio Pets Alive to assist 12 dogs who found themselves displaced through Hurricane Harvey. Through the generosity of these two organizations, we were able to bring in these dogs and ensure they were out of harms way! Old Towne Pet Resort in Springfield graciously created a seamless transition for these pups from the shelter to their resort where the dogs are being cared for, evaluated, nurtured and prepared for their forever homes. San Antonio Pets Alive cared for each and every dog and provided medical attention and vetting prior to the dogs' arrival. OPH truly believes that 'It Takes a Village' to make a difference in the lives of shelter dogs. Through this Operation Hurricane initiative, we have seen the best of our local business partners and could not be more proud to partner with them!
