About Meeka

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Meeka the Schipperke/Chihuahua mix was surrendered to a local shelter and struggled outside a home environment, so Fuzzy Pawz stepped in to help her transition to her forever home. Meeka is a 1-year old Schipperke/Chihuahua mix, and sweet as can be. She seems to bond quickly to humans, which shows her desire to find a loving forever home. Meeka is definitely a lap dog and loves to cuddle. However, she's also a fan of dog doors and opts to spend a good part of the day playing in the yard with her foster sister. Like many of us, Meeka is packing around a few extra pounds. Her new year resolution is to get back to a healthy weight, so her new family will need to make sure she gets regular moderate exercise. Meeka gets a bit excited and will jump up on her foster mom's leg, but otherwise she doesn't have any bad habits. She is working on her jumping manners, but may need continued training. Meeka doesn't like to be in a crate, but she doesn't need one because she is potty trained (especially with a dog door) and doesn't chew or demonstrate any destructive behavior. Meeka also does great getting baths and going for car rides. Sweet little Meeka is very happy and well adjusted. She is smart and obedient, and she will be wonderful companion pup.
