OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi, I'm Gunner, and if you're lucky I could be your new best friend. My foster parents enjoyed having me so much that they fostered me a second week! I am very well behaved, I didn't have any accidents or chew up anything that I wasn't supposed to but I am still a young pup so you should keep an eye on me because I can get curious. My foster parents and I had a good time. I met some kids, they were nice and I let them scratch my head. I even met a baby, I was curious but not for too long. I'm not to sure of other dogs, especially males. I think I'd probably like it if I was an only dog. I love running in backyards and being chased, that's my favorite! Walks are also something I enjoy, especially when I see squirrels. During the day I stayed in my kennel and when my foster mom came home later I was just as she left me, adorable! At night, my foster parents put me in my kennel, it wasn't my favorite but after a few minutes I settled down and they didn't hear a peep out of me. And I never had any accidents in my kennel!! I'm such a sweet boy, I'll put my head in your lap and be your best friend if you let me. I can't wait to find my forever home, I'm going to make you so happy! Gunner is a Male Terrier Mix that we estimate to be born around 11/11/2017. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
