About Dixie

Dixie is very loving, playful and loves hugs and kisses. She came to us in 2011 as a stray. She had possibly been a breeding dog. She was estimated to be 1 1/2 years old. We have had her for 7 years. We are in the process of moving and we are unable to take her with us. She needs to be indoors as she has short hair, and has been in doors since we have been blessed to have her. She does not have many teeth as the vet thinks she was used for breeding, she may have lived off of bones, or chewed on a chain possibly, her gums are over most of her teeth, but she is healthy and very well behaved. House trained, has never been crated, would need a home that can provide lots of love. Gets along great with children, adults and some dogs. As long as they do not show aggression she's fine. She just needs a loving home, does not do well if isolated, she has to see out of windows, it's her protective instincts. She's never been aggressive toward anyone. Loves to ride in cars. Would be great with someone who has time to give her. Shots are all updated in November 2017. Have records, desperate to find her a new home soon, as I do not want her in a shelter. She is so sweet.. please only reply if you are positive you could give her a good home, loving and safe for her. We live in Knoxville, TN.
