About Venza

Venza is estimated to be a 9-12 month old black lab/boarder collie mix, with white patch on her neck, and white-tipped tail. She weighs about 40 pounds. She was a stray in Roswell, New Mexico, before ending up in a shelter, where she was given only 10 days to be adopted. On the 10th day, she was scheduled to be euthanized for space. Just hours before her anticipated death, I pulled her out in order to give her more time to find a home. I made arrangements for her to be driven to Davis so I could foster her. I have gotten her spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. The vet prescribed antibiotics for a slight cough she has, likely from a respiratory infection she picked up at the shelter. She has completed the course of antibiotics and has since been doing well. This girl is SWEET sweet sweet. She loves everything about life. She will do anything for food, making her easy to train. She rides well in the car. She has excellent manners when kept in the kennel overnight; no barking, and chews nicely on the toys she is provided. Very playful, loves fetch and tug. She wants to be best friends with everyone; all of the dogs and all of the people she comes across - A true representation of her labrador side. I have not had the opportunity to assess how she is with swimming pools, doggy doors, cats or kids, but I do not anticipate any problems if introductions are done properly. Completion of an adoption application, and a visit to your home will be required for Venza's safety, as well as an adoption to fee to help offset some of the costs associated with her rescue.
