Sandy and Maverick were mixed Australian shepherds from the same litter that my husband purchased two and a half years ago from a breeder in Kentucky. Both dogs are good natured, spayed and neutered, have just received their annual rabies shot (1-12-18) and receive monthly heartworm medication. The dogs receive very little attention and spend most of their day in crates in the house. They love to be walked (usually 2 times per week, together, in our neighborhood), and they love to run outside in our yard (contained by Invisible Fence). These dogs get very excited around new people but are never aggressive to humans. They do, however, react to other dogs. Recently both Sandy and Maverick 'escaped' the yard because they did not have shock collars on and chased a dog being walked by his owner all the way to his home. We were told the dogs bit his dog, but I saw him the next day taking him for a walk, so I don't think they excessively hurt the other dog. These dogs are just not in the right home. I think they need more activity, more attention, more room to run, and they are getting none of these things in our home.
