When I got to Dark Horse Ranch I had no idea who anyone was or what they wanted of me. It took me a few days to allow them to touch me, but after some time I realized that no one was going to hurt me. They gave me good food, got my feet and teeth done, had some professional training, and now I am completely healthy and sound! The only thing I am missing is a consistent person to love on me. I do like being fussed over and being around other horses. I am not alfa and just want to be a good boy. I will try anything you ask of me as long as I am asked gently so I don't get scared. DJ came to Dark Horse Ranch scared and neglected. Shy and not knowing where he was or what was going to happen to him, he learned to trust and has successfully been rehabilitated. He is ready for his new forever home. With some love and TLC, he does trail and arena work, though he is not for a beginner, as he likes to go. DJ has plenty of loving years left in him and he's healthy and sound. Though tall, he is lightly boned and would do best with a smaller sized person.
