About Daisy

i there! My name is Daisy and I am a three-year-old American pit bull terrier mix. I was surrendered to the shelter in pretty bad shape- severely underweight with frostbite on my ears and toenails that badly needed to be trimmed at the beginning of the year. I am so happy that Paws for Life had a foster home where I could gain weight and get ready for my forever family! I am a super lovable girl who likes to cuddle and get belly rubs. I am good with children and love it when the little ones in my foster home play with me. I really love to play with any kind of dog toys, from stuffed squeaky ones to rope toys. It would be best if my new home had a few I could call my own. I am dog-friendly and love to run and play with the other dogs in my foster home. My foster mom is not sure if I would do good in a house with little dogs, so I would need to be introduced first to make sure I don't play too rough. I passed the cat test at the shelter, but I get a little too excited and sometimes too rough with the kitties here at my foster home. I tend to chase them, so my foster mom thinks it would be best if my forever home doesn't have cats. I am house trained and crate trained. I do know a few basic commands such as sit, shake, and lay down. I also know how to fetch! I walk pretty well on a leash and don't pull too hard. I am up to date on all of my vaccines, as well as flea/tick and heartworm preventative. In a couple of weeks I will be spayed and ready to go to my forever home.
