CALIFORNIA (Bombay) - AVAILABLE! Only $45 adoption!!! California was rescued from a hoarder and brought to the shelter. At the shelter, he ended up on their euthanasia list for being fearful. That's when Safe Haven stepped in and rescued this beautiful little man. California is still a bit afraid of people, but is coming around. He is very food motivated, so I am using that to get him more comfortable with people. He loves all toys and will play with just about anything (gingle balls, wand toy, etc...) He will sit up on his back legs sometimes (like a little bear). Very cute! If you are looking for 2 kitties, he is closest to: Indiana Another cat in the home would help him come out of his shell... Birthday: 8/27/17 (this was what the Vet guessed him to be during the exam, but he is smaller than the other kittens that same age. So I actually think he is either younger, or he is going to be a small cat. Although Bombays are known for not reaching their full size until they are 2 yrs old) Weight at last Vet visit: 4 lbs Cats: Yes, he is good with other cats and wants to go up and greet them and play. He has been friendly with all the cats here. Small Dogs: He's getting used to them Large Dogs: He's getting used to them Kids: Unknown, but older kids only because he is so small, and also because he is fearful. Men: Unknown Women: Warming up Strangers: Keeps his distance and watches. Food: I feed all the cats on a rotational diet. Which means they get a different brand of high quality food each month. I do this because I do not think that one brand can provide all the nutrients that they need. Just like one food can't provide us with all that we need...Plus, who wants to eat the same thing every day? He is free fed (meaning there is a bowl of dry food out all the time for him). He is currently on Merrick kitten food. Litter Box Trained: Yes, I use the scoopable litter. Other issues: None, he's adorable Adoption fee is only $45 & includes: - Spay/Neuter surgery - Tested for FELV and FIV per protocol (only cats that are negative go up for adoption) - Up to date on Vaccinations - Microchip - Collar - Other surprise goodies from Safe Haven - Free office visit to Vet - 50% off any Optimum Wellness Plan - 30 days of Free Pet Insurance (in case something comes up after adoption) - Other coupons from Partners - Available Paperwork: Spay/Neuter records, Vaccination records, Vet records, Micro records, Recommendation list, etc... - Continued Support: Safe Haven will be there for the lifetime of your new adopted pet. It will say the status in all caps at the very top of the pets post, and updates are posted in the comment section under each pets post. Once on the Facebook page, type the pets name in the search box to easily pull up all the posts on that pet. Q: I don't see a phone #. Will someone please call me? A: Everything needed is online. I have found that online is the most efficient way to get all the work done. In the past, when I posted my #, my phone rang off the hook all day. So I spent the whole day on the phone, with not much work to show for it at the end of the day. Again, everything needed is online. Q: How do I adopt this pet? A: Your first step is to fill out an application. Q: Can I adopt if I live out of state? A: Out of state adoptions are welcome. Additional fee applies.
