About Duke

Duke is a 4 year old chocolate lab/Springer spaniel mix. He's a cuddle bug even though he weighs 43lbs. and will try to crawl in your lap! Duke was pulled off of the euthanasia list from a rural south Texas shelter just in time! How he got there is anyone's guess but his foster says that he's been one of the easiest dogs to foster ever, and that's saying a lot since his current foster has housed over 100 dogs in recent years! Duke is super easy going and is non dog reactive! He was very easily introduced into the fosters pack of dogs within 30 minutes! He loves people, big and small alike. He's learning to not pull on the leash during walks and he loves to bask in the sun in the back yard. He's not a big fan of a crate but not to worry because he's 100% house trained! Duke is scheduled to be neutered on January 13th and is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. He will be ready for his new forever home very soon!
