About Mandi

Mastiff
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Mandi is a gorgeous silver blue with light brindled Cane Corso with lovely natural un-cropped ears and a docked tail. Sweet and playful, Mandi does well with other dogs, but would do best with a non-dominant male or female. Her foster reports that she's passable on a leash, knows sit and sometimes come, and relieves promptly on leash. Mandi thinks kitties are for her to chase, so a no-cat OR a dog-training-cat home is a must. We suggest a home without very small children because her size, 93 lbs of muscle, and lack of exposure to children during her early years. Turned into Carson LA Shelter with a raging URI of unknown background, she was euth listed for being ill. Once pulled by our rescue and vetted, it took some time for her to respond to medical treatment. Mandi's foster/trainer was ready to step up once our Vet released. Her training has been focused on social graces. She now loves riding in cars, going for walks, and lying under foot at restaurant outings, leaves trashcans alone, doesn't sure counters, waits her turn in the pack for treats. Mandi loves the interaction of training, and has immense potential. As a healthy strong and intelligent dog, she is a model for her breed. She will need lots of exercise and owner interaction. This is no couch potato. A Corso-experienced home is highly desirable, or one whose background includes large dogs with high prey drives. A home visit before placement is a requirement. Ranch life has been a blessing to Mandi, one she thoroughly enjoys. She's been exposed to horses and Mules, and doesn't bother with them. She shows no tendency to wish to escape and spends the days loose outside. At home, she kennels and crates easily. Mandi is spayed, microchipped and UTD on all shots. An adoption fee of $250 is required.
