About Shorty

SHORTY A 10 Year old Mini Pinscher mix was the last dog listed on Inland Valley's RED List, having been there over a month. He was overlooked and had given up, extremely depressed. Barely raising his head. Death was knocking at his door. Truth be known Shorty was about to go knocking on heavens door, when a Earth Angel arrived and whispered in his ear... not just yet, it's not your time Shorty! Shorty was rescued by a rescue who now cannot care for him. PTR has taken Shorty into their arms and heart. With the support of his wonderful foster, we've been able to stabilize his diabetes. He does need daily insulin shots, and a special diet. PTR would be happy to work on a 'Foster to Adopt' basis, and provide all Shorty's medical, food, and supplements, until the adopter is certain they want to include Shorty permanently in their family. Shorty is fond of romps in the yard, and loves to cuddle on your lap. He's highly independent, in spite of his eye's failing him now. A spirited and tough little soul, Shorty has survived much neglect and a life on the streets. He has had 2 other people, no longer reachable, on his microchip. For now, he's safe and loved with Pawsitive Tails to Remember, but he'd love a permanent home where he can live his later years out being pampered and cherished as he so deserves. PTR will only let him go to the best of the best, as he's a rescue favorite!
