About Luna

Luna is a 1-2 year old mix. We were told she was a Great Dane mix but we're not sure about that. Some people guessed pit/boxer or Dane/Pit, but we're not sure about that either. She is a human dog. She wants to be by your side, in your lap, your best friend. She likes dogs but prefers people. She can be fearful of some dogs and has shown some aggression towards my female Lab. My Lab can be a little temperamental, so I don't want to blame Luna. I think she would be best in a home as an only dog or with a family that has a compatible dog. She gets along great with my Dalmatian and Bernese Mountain dog. I have not tested her with small dogs or cats. She saw a kitten once and seemed too interested in the kitty for me to test it safely. Luna does have a bad habit of food guarding. But in her defense, she didn't know where her next meal was coming from for a very long time. If you scold her, she will immediately stop and drop to the ground. She's very receptive to commands but still has that food issue. Luna is not a barker, great indoors, potty trained, knows how to sit, stay, shake, and come. She loves to play fetch and knows how to drop it politely. She's so smart and could learn endless commands. She wants to please her humans. I have had many dogs in the past and I've never had one that wants to please her owners as much as Luna she does. If we didn't have a full house, I would keep her in a heartbeat. She's the best dog. If you're looking for a best friend, a new family addition, Luna is your girl!!
