About Diesel

ABOUT ME: Diesel is one darling dude! This handsome 2.5 year old hunk is an Old English Bulldog with a huge heart and a ton of personality! Because his previous home let him be the boss, Diesel used to think he was in charge of his people. However, now that he's come to Bullpen bootcamp, he's got a new attitude that he's ready to show off to his new family! WHAT I NEED IN A HOME: Like most Bulldogs, Diesel is as stubborn as a mule, and will need a strong, consistent leader that won't let him get away with shenanigans. He loves people, but can get very grumpy when he doesn't get his way, and sometimes needs to be reminded that he's not in charge. Because Diesel needs to continue his training in a home with focused structure and boundaries, we think a breed-experienced home without children under 10 is best. Diesel lived in a home with a female Bulldog, and we think he misses having a playmate. Ideally, Mr. D's new family would have a girl dog about his size that loved to play. His former home told us that he was also good with small dogs, but we aren't sure about his feelings for felines. THE DETAILS: Diesel is housebroken, crate-trained, and knows some basic obedience, but will need to continue working on his leash skills with his new family. Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting.
