About Mikey

Mikey is a super sweet 13 year old Jack Russell/Beagle mix, neutered male. We adopted him when he was 8 weeks old and has lived with my parents since then. Mikey has been my Mom's best buddy after my Dad passed in 2005. Unfortunately my mom recently had a significant cognitive decline and had to move into a Memory Care facility. Mikey is super loving, well trained (no mess in the house, no jumping on furniture, only plays with his toys, touches nothing in the house) He is trained to go outside in the yard or by taking walks. He loves walks to the beach, greeting other dogs and people along the way, and going for rides in the car. He loves being around people and is great with company and dinner parties. He is well trained, very well behaved and a super happy dog. He had cataract surgery 4 years ago, and has some cloudiness in his eyes, but has no restrictions walking and playing since he has such a great sense of smell. He has been living with me for the past 6 months, but I'm at the office all day and travel at least once a month for work which causes me to board him in the Kennel for 1-2 weeks monthly. He could be having much more fun during the day and makes a great companion. He needs a great home where he will get attention, hugs and love, which he gives right back. I have all of his medical records and can give references of two kennels I have used to board him. (He always gets a great report of his stay)
