About Dory

Check out these ears!! These adorable ears belong to Dory who is an approx 5-7 month old female mix (maybe hound/carolina dog type). In the not so distant past she was living as a stray, with her bestie and/or brother Nemo, outside an abandonned apartment building in an unsavory part of town in AL. Luckily a good samaritan saw the conditions they were living in and a rescue in the area was able to save them and secure a foster home for them. Turns out they adjusted to the indoor life pretty quickly and did great in their foster home, but now they have traveled to us to help them find their forever homes. Although Nemo and Dory had a friend when they needed each other the most, they do not need to be adopted together, although we would consider it for someone looking for double the love. Dory is good with other dogs, and very social with people. He also does well in a crate. Dory is spayed, up to date on vaccines and vet care, including heartworm tested negative. One of her eyes does appear to either have a congenital defect or old injury, but it has been examined by the vet and does not cause her any issues currently, it just adds to her overall charm!
