About Cheerio

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hey Everybody! I'm Cheerio and I want to introduce myself. Actually, my foster mom is writing this for me right now, even though she doesn't want to. She said she wants me to live with her forever because of my sweet personality and that I'm just a ray of sunshine. She named me Cheerio because I'm full of cheer and bring a smile to everyone I meet. But she can't keep me because she needs to foster more, so here I am! Foster mom says I am the happiest little girl you'll ever meet. I prance around in my little sweater, happy as a lark to be in a nice, warm home. During the day time I like to nap, cuddle and try to play with other dogs. I wish my foster sisters liked to play with me more. My mom says they're old grumpy ladies who don't wanna play, but I still try. I'd love a dog to play with. I really like chewing on toys right now (and socks, shhh!) because I'm a little baby and my teeth are coming in. I REALLY love belly rubs. My mom says I could fall asleep any time, anywhere if someone rubs my belly. That's probably true. My foster dad said I'm one of the best puppies he's ever seen, and he's seen a lot of puppies! He said that because I'm such a fast learner at potty training!! I know when I go outside I need to potty really fast and I always go! If I'm let out enough, I won't have any accidents inside! I don't even potty in my crate overnight. And I'm getting real good at holding it when my parents are at work all day. I just want a family who will love me, give me belly rubs, feed me (I'm a piggie), and keep me forever. My family says it will be hard to let me go, but they know the right family is out there for me. I will bring lots of happiness and love to your life, I promise! I have a skin condition right now which made my hair fall out, but look how great my fur looks now that its growing back in! Cheerio is a female Pitbull mix that we estimate to be born around 11/11/2017. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
