Hi, my name is Sherman. I am a 5 year old Lhasa Apso boy. I weigh in at 30 pounds. I am people friendly and have a lot of love to give. I was found as a stray in Los Angeles and ended up at this big scary, noisy place called 'The Shelter'. Boy, I was really scared when I first got there. But nothing fazes me out, I am still one happy-go-lucky kind of a guy. My coat was dirty and messy. I was there for several days until a rescue lady fell in love with my big eyes and she took me home. She gave me a bath, cut my hair and she saw how handsome I am! My foster parents say I am one Super Sweet dog with Capital S. My Dad actually says it is hard to put into words how sweet I am!! My mom says I get an A+ for my outstanding temperament. I am potty trained to go outside. I am not a huge fan of the crate and will cry if left in one. I am a quite dog and do not like to bark much. My Mom says I am one smart cookie-I even taught myself how to use the doggy door. I love going for walks and being outside catching the sun rays. I love all humans-I especially adore kids. I had been ignored in my previous home for so long that now all I want and crave is human touch and love. I enjoy belly rubs. My favorite spot is right under my chin. I even purr when you scratch me under my chin. I love playing with my squeaky toys. I get along with other same sized dogs in my foster home as long as they are not an alpha dog. Due to years of neglect at my previous home, I am blind. But my blindness does not slow me down even one bit. I will walk boldly-sometimes right off the curb and just keep on trucking along like nothing happened. I never let my blindness hinder me. I am not timid as a result of not being able to see. My Mom says-I for sure do not act like a blind dog-other than an occasional bump into something. I guess that is why they named me Sherman after some famous General. I am a Lhasa and do not shed. I am what they call a hypoallergenic dog. I have had all my shots, am neutered and am even micro-chipped. I am all set and ready to find my own family. So-what are you waiting for? Come meet me-you will not be disappointed. My ideal home would be where I am the only dog. I love all humans-especially kids. I crave love and want my humans to give me all the affection (sharing is not quite an option). I am being fostered in Irvine, CA. My adoption fee is only $275.
