About Yuki, Adopted

'Yuki is an adorable boxer girl that is looking for a special home. She spent most of her short 2 years of life before LBR in a puppy mill instead of getting to be a happy, normal boxer. Having spent all of her time in an outside dog run, forced to have puppies and not getting to be a well loved inside dog, she has a lot to learn. When she first got to her foster home, she spent all of her time either hiding or pacing in an imaginary dog run. She is working on basic housetraining and does very well when taken out regularly. Now that she's had a taste of the good life, she is coming out of her shell and is doing very well emotionally. She doesn't do well with change and any change to her routine causes anxiety and she will revert back to hiding and pacing until everything settles back down. When everything is right in her world, she is happy, silly, wiggly and playful. She loves her belly rubs, loves chewies and cookies and has started doing boxer burns sometimes when she goes out to potty. Her ideal home would not leave her crated for more than a few hours at a time, if at all. She does get along very well with other dogs. Kids and cats are unknown. She would love a home where someone was home with her most of the time and without too much activity. Her foster home is willing to let her meet a family with kids if they are well behaved and past the squealing stage. She still startles easily and will cower with sudden movements, so no small kids. Her new family will need to have lots of patience and be willing to help her continue to heal and learn to be a happy boxer. She is super sweet and very willing to learn with the right family.
