About Jasper

Rescue welcomes Jasper. Jasper is a 5 month old Treeing Walker Coonhound puppy. He was abandoned in a rural area and most likely, breed by a local hunter. They will, at times, abandon extra hunting dogs that they don't need. This is not a good habit and quite inhumane, but the laws are not enforced to protect them in rural areas. Jasper is very friendly. He is house trained to a pet door and leash trained. He is great with other dogs as hunting dogs are pack oriented. He is also great with cats. He is also neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. This sweet heart is most perfect in every way except he doesn't hunt.
