About Hooch

This is my Hooch.Hooch has had a rough life.He's a good dog,but we are his 6th home.He was in 5 before we got him at 11 months.He's great with kids of all ages, other dogs, and chases our cat but doesn't hurt her.I need to find a home for Hooch as soon as possible.My BF has brain cancer and just had brain surgery.There have been a lot of unforeseen problems and one of them has been agression towards me.Last night, my bf came after me.While trying to get away, Hooch got in between my bf while he was trying to attack me.When my bf wouldn't back off, Hooch intervene and bit him. He was trying to protect me and now I will have to have him put down if I can't find him a home. He doesn't deserve to be put down for doing what he is supposed to do and that was to protect me against anyone trying to hurt me. When we got him, there was a police detective number attached to his shots record that came from a domestic abuse investigator so we think he came from a troubled home. I don't know what to do. This wasn't an unprovoked attack. I don't want him getting put down. But my bf's behavior is unpredictable and I don't know if they will ever be able to live together again. He would do well with a home with a mellow patient man, woman, couple, or family. He loves kids and other dogs. We have a cat that he pounces after but it's more of a playful interaction. He's sweet and loves to snuggle and has the funniest crooked run you'll ever see. My kids adore him and this is breaking my heart. I will hide him before I let animal control take him. So please, if this is a dog you're interested in, please contact me. I don't want money for him, but it says to ask to keep him from ending up in a bad home. He needs a good, safe home. Please consider him. Thank you.
