From the on-site Rescuer to whom the Shelter Staff begged for help: ' I stepped up with a group of pup lovers today to rescue this dog in Henderson . He had been in the shelter a long time and the staff loved him because he has such a sweet disposition. Never used the bathroom in his cage and was the perfect gentleman. However the shelter was full and he had been there too long and the staff knew his time was up. They went to his cage and opened the door. He dropped his head and looked up with the soft brown eyes and peed on the floor. He clearly knew what was coming. I dont know how. But the staff was so moved by his obvious knowledge that they did not euthanize him. Instead they reached out one last time for help for this dog. I believe he is a special dog and that there must be a family for him. He loves children, humans and other dogs. Please help us find him a home. I have a video of the three children who accompanied him on his freedom ride. He was at ease with the kids. A vet in Henderson has Trooper and the group of us has collected money to cover boarding while a new home is located. He is a smart and loving guy.
