About Sallie Mae

This pretty brindle girl with the sad eyes had a comfy life filled with love. The heartbreaking decision to relinquish Sallie Mae was reached after her guardian who lived alone, was impaired by multiple illnesses and frequent hospitalizations. Sallie Mae keeps watching and hoping that her Mama will appear and take her home. We hope to soon have Sallie Mae in a home that will heal her heart and put the light back into her eyes. She is a medium sized boxer mix who is 1 year old. Arrival date Oct 12, 2017. Her adoption fee is $100. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home appropriate for their needs and that will keep them safe. Each is loved and nurtured by our staff and volunteers during their stay with us and each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own family members. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control.
