I got Steward as a companion cat for my other cat. They got a long at first but over the years I noticed that he wanted to be the more dominant cat which she wasn't having it. He hisses at her when she walks by him and she will tree him in his cat tree at times. She is the more dominant of the two but I think he is no longer happy with it. He stopped using the litter box by deficating outside the box. I have done all of the suggestions and have taken him to the Vet to make sure it isn' A medical reason. I talked to the vet and she agreeded that it is because he is territory marking and along with the hissing that he would be happier as an only cat. He is very sweet and affectionate. Not a lap cat but will crawl into your for a nap. Very quite and has a very soft voice.
