About Becky

Adoption Fee: $25
Border Collie / Australian Kelpie
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Becky has a sponsor who subsidized her fee to $25. Becky came in with a small dog companion after their owner died unexpectedly and there was no one wishing to care for them. Her little friend was adopted, leaving one more loss in Becky's life. Becky is 7 years old and weighs 60lbs. She has an active spirit that is suffering in the confinement of the kennel run. She is good with children and cats. She can be discriminating about other dogs initially based on size and attitude towards her. She was housebroken upon arrival. She is leash trained. She arrived Jan 3, 2018. Application can be submitted online at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application/ or at the shelter. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home appropriate for their needs and that will keep them safe. The process can take 1 to 3 days and for anyone traveling a distance to meet a dog/cat, it is suggested that the process be done first so that the applicant will know if they are approved to adopt. Each of our residents is loved and nurtured by our staff and volunteers during their stay with us and each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own family members. Adoption policies and application procedures are at the shelter website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. All approved adopters must come to the shelter and accompany their new family member on the journey home. We do not ship nor do we transport. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Shelter location: 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571 Shelter phone: 706-865-4135 Shelter email: [email protected] Sautee is located 3 miles from the Alpine town of Helen in the NE mountains of GA.
