About Scooter

Adoption Fee: $100
Corgi / Dachshund
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Scooter came in with Becky after their owner died unexpectedly and there was no one wishing to care for them. scooter is 4 years old and weighs 30lbs. He appears to be a corgi mix. Like Becky, he is grieving the loss of his person and is trying to adjust to what must seem like a scary world having lived in the comfort of a home for so long. He is good with children, dogs and cats. She is housebroken and leash trained. He will soon be vetted and neutered. His adoption fee is $100. Application can be submitted online at:‰'Ű|/dog-adopti‰'Ű|/ or at the shelter. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home appropriate for their needs and that will keep them safe. The process can take 1 to 3 days and for anyone traveling a distance to meet a dog/cat, it is suggested that the process be done first so that the applicant will know if they are approved to adopt. Each of our residents is loved and nurtured by our staff and volunteers during their stay with us and each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own family members. Adoption policies and application procedures are at the shelter website: under tab All Adoptable Animals. All approved adopters must come to the shelter and accompany their new family member on the journey home. We do not ship nor do we transport. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Shelter location: 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571 Shelter phone: 706-865-4135 Shelter email: Sautee is located 3 miles from the Alpine town of Helen in the NE mountains of GA.
