Peanut is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fluff that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. What isn't clear in these photos is how truly beautiful this dog is with the stunning silver streaks that run through his soft coat. Once he gets a much-needed spa day, Peanut will absolutely be one of the most adorable guys around. At just about 18 - 24 months old and 8 lbs, Peanut is a perfect size to accompany his family just about anywhere a sweet small dog is welcome... while being large enough to be an active walker enjoying the sunshine and Colorado paths with his family. Peanut is every bit the young guy...fun and active. But at the same time he is a happy and well-behaved pup who falls deeply in love with his family. It's for this reason that we're searching for an only-dog home for sweet Peanut. He would blossom with the time and attention. For the first time in his life, he would understand what pure love and nurturing feels like..and he'll be overjoyed! At this early point in Peanut's development, he loves virtually everyone and is the greatest lap dog of all time.. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Peanut to a family who expresses their devotion for him in many different ways. We'd like Peanut to attend positive reinforcement group obedience classes to be the very best adult dog he's capable of being. These classes develop very strong bonds between the family and their dog. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of force-free trainers in your area. We feel that Peanut would be most comfortable with an adult family where voices are softer and the energy is calmer. He is a snuggler and a very loyal guy..these traits come out when Peanut feels secure within his family. Right now Peanut is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved and most cuddly guy around. Peanut is so loyal that he can easily be a constant companion - he would love nothing more than being outdoors...trips to the store (he's a great window-shopping friend), lap-sitting or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace. Peanut is flexible enough that he can be introduced to virtually any situation...and if there is love and gentle guidance...he can succeed. Peanut has the stunningl non-shedding coat and cottony-soft hair that speaks of both breeds in his mix. He will therefore require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition (a supplement of salmon oil would be great) to keep his coat very healthy and matt-free.
