About Barney & Henry

Barney and Henry are two handsome 10 month old (as of Jan 2018) Beagle mix brothers looking for a loving family. These sweet and friendly fellows were originally rescued from an open-intake shelter in Kentucky. They were turned in because they were the offspring of an accidental litter of the family dogs. They were the only two pups in the litter and have always been the best of buds so we would like to find them a home together. Barney and Henry came to us when they were only 10 weeks old and were quickly adopted in June 2017. They have come back to Pal's Place for placement after their adopter took a new job with long hours. Their adopter no longer felt they could provide them with the time and love they deserved so they are back in the care of Pal's Place and are hoping to find a new family to love soon! The boys are slightly larger than purebred Beagles and weigh in around 35 pounds. Barney is a little lower to the ground and longer and Henry is a bit taller and more proportionate. Beagles are known for their friendly, tolerant and happy-go-lucky nature and these boys are no exception. They greet everyone they meet with lots of smiles, tail wags, and kisses! They also do great with other dogs. The boys are generally well behaved but are still pups and like to play so an active household would be a great match for them! They love to play tug-of war- and fetch! Henry and Barney are housebroken and crate trained as well. They'd be a great fit for a family that's looking for some fun and energetic companions but might not be quite ready or up for very young puppies.Their adoption donation as a pair is $400. They are up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. They are currently in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment once an application has been received and approved.
