Livingston , TX Velma is a beautiful is a 2 year old mix . Her foster mom thinks she must have gone through quite a lot as she is quite slow to warm up, but will allow them to love on her if they are quiet, reassuring, and slow. This sweet girl would really like a home where she can finally feel safe, confident, and learn to enjoy life again. If she's on the couch with us, she'll even roll half over and let us rub her belly now! Velma loves her little fluffy foster brother (a mini schnauzer-corgi mix) and two Great Dane foster sisters and needs a home with fur siblings (the more the merrier) as she doesn't like to be alone. Velma does not want to live with cats. Her foster mom taught Velma how to be patient at mealtimes and she eats near everyone else. She is not aggressive with food, treats, toys, beds or personal space. Velma is leash and house trained. She asks to go out, but her foster family lets her out often when they are home. Velma is very well mannered on a leash walking with another dog, but is very nervous when walked alone. She can sleep in a crate at night as long as she can see her humans and the other dogs, but she does sleep wherever she wants at her foster's house. Velma's favorite spots are on the couch with her biggest foster sister Devon and the big dog bed on the bedroom floor because it's close to everyone else. She prefers to be free with my foster siblings when left home alone; she doesn't like being crated when the others are free. Velma's foster mom says she's good when she's been gone for short stretches, but sometimes gets bored and chews household items. Due to some separation anxiety issues, Velma would prefer her human works from home or to be left in an enclosed space with another dog. Expand your pack and adopt Velma today!
