About Scruffy

Meet SCRUFFY! This little guy had a tough start. He was a stray for several months, was severely matted and was surviving on his own in the country. He was glad to be rescued but he had not been socialized properly or handled much and his reaction was to bite and grumble out of fear. We have been working with Scruffy, who is currently in foster, and he is learning to trust and is finding out there are good people out there. Scruffy will require a family who lets him know he doesn't have to fend for himself any longer and, through positive reinforcement, that his new family is taking care of him so he can relax. Don't let his small size fool you - he is full of energy and would do well with a doggie buddy to play ball, fetch and romp in a back yard. He is crate trained and knows some basic commands. We don't recommend children for Scruffy and his new owners should have experience with a high-spirited and intelligent dog.
