Georgia is an 8 yr old pit bull terrier who exemplifies the breed's characteristics of love and loyalty. She is spayed and up to date on all of her shots. Georgia would bless her new owner with affection and fun. Her prior owner, trained Georgia from puppy-hood to be an obedient companion, but Georgia enriched the partnership with her intelligence, sweetness and athletic ability. Georgia meets life with enthusiasm, whether on training runs, walks around Lake Oconee, or barking greetings to animals on tv shows while relaxing with family. As a pup, Georgia demonstrated empathy for her owner's grandmother, who used a walker. Georgia would lie by the grandmother's chair to keep her company while other humans were at work. This gentle dog never jumped up or got in the way of the walker, even when grandma teased her with treats. Her prior owner moved into a smaller home and goes out of town for work, which left Georgia alone too often. Her prior owner wanted to do what was right for his girl and that meant finding her a new family to give her the love she longs to return. She grew up on land to run around on and was use to running along side her owner as he rode his ATV. We have witnessed Georgia's zest for life in our side yard at the clinic. She LOVES toys, knows the command to sit and will wait for you to throw a toy and she walks well on a leash. You would never think this girl is 8 years old with all the energy she has. Georgia's prior owner had small children and she was great around them. She does well with other dogs and has been around both large and small dogs (see the picture below). She doesn't do well with cats as she likes to chase them. If you are interested in meeting Georgia please come down to visit her at Vet Med Animal Clinic, 770-787-4899. Adoptions require an interview and application. Adoption fee is $150 and she comes with one months supply of Nexgard. Please share. Thank you!!
