About Stoick

Stoick is a big, beautiful red/white male retriever mix. He is definitely strong and somewhat willful, but once he's out of his kennel and in a yard he is a good boy. He is very energetic and seems to like to play. He most likely would do best in a one-dog only home as he shows interest in other dogs. If a potential adopter had another dog, a meet & greet is definitely in order. He is affectionate and I believe he would be devoted to his owner. He probably would be a great watchdog, with the proper supervision. Stoick should make a great dog for someone who has had previous dog owning experience and can instruct him in a calm but proper manner, firm and positive but gentle.
