Meet Kahlua: This little gal was found as a stray and sent to a high kill shelter in the Inland Empire. She is extremely scared, skittish and untrusting. We brought her to the vet where she was spayed and caught up to date on all of her vaccinations. This little gal is still a puppy approximately 10 months old. She is a Staffie- Hound Mix. Kahlua appears to have been neglected with mental and physical abuse. She is scared of people and shakes when you approach her. We have been able to pet her but she still flinches and is very scared. She will not take treats yet. We had her play in the park at her boarding facility, where she was cautious of her surroundings. She will often hide and try avoiding people. She will do well in a quiet home where she can come out of her shell and blossom into a strong and trusting dog. She needs a lot of love, patience and most of all tender loving care. We are looking for a foster to help with this process. We have not temperament tested her with another pup yet. Please consider helping Kahlua. Kahlua needs a person who can spend a lot of time with her and has the patience to allow this gal to trust again. Kahlua has been traumatized and we want to help her learn how to love again.
